In the last few years, as violence has flared in the Middle East, a growing number of writers, editors, accountants, lawyers, teachers, translators and others...in short, people who care, got together and wondered what they could do to make a difference.

As the darkness of war and terror spread, this group dedicated itself to spreading a spectrum of light in the Middle East. Our group currently numbers more than 100. We research issues that sometimes get covered by the daily headlines, and then we write about them. It's true that a picture speaks a thousand words, but sometimes, depending on the angle of the camera, or perhaps the person behind it, the camera might distort and therefore do more harm.

We offer our research and our words in the hopes that you will learn something that perhaps you did not know, and then take action. If you read something here that disturbs you, consider what you can do about it. We are currently updating the What you can do to Help pages. Our contribution has been to open the door and allow the light to shine in. We hope you will join our efforts.
